22 High/Walnut St. Apartment Celebrates Annual Cookout with Community Partners
The Brookline Housing Authority hosted its second summer cookout at 22 High/Walnut St. apartments. The event brought together residents, staff, partners, and other supporters for community building and burgers. Children painted flower pots with the Brookline Arts Center and enjoyed pop corn and cotton candy provided by City on a Hill Church (Brookline). Other partners in attendance were the Allston Brighton Community Financial Management Program, Women Thriving Inc., Walk & Talk officers from the Brookline Police Department, and the Brookline Community Mental Health Center, in addition to representatives the BHA’s own Family Learning Centers and English language programs. Eight adults signed up for services including financial help sessions, parent-child playgroups, other activities. The event truly highlights the best of our collaborative work.
