State Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirements: In our State-funded, elderly/disabled developments, the head-of-household must be at least 60-years old. Disabled persons can be of any age.
Household Income Requirements:Applicant household income (including income from assets) cannot be greater than the column for each household size shown below.
The BHA also checks the following for all applicant household members:
Credit report (18+)
Landlord history (18+)
Criminal history (14+ and any Personal Care Assistant)
How to Apply
The state elderly and disabled waiting list is currently open. Potential applicants should visit the state CHAMP website and fill out the necessary information. Visit https://publichousingapplication.ocd.state.ma.us/ for details. To print and complete a paper application, see the bullets below.

Completed preliminary applications may be mailed, faxed or emailed with signature, or brought to the main office at 90 Longwood Avenue. Please Note: Due to the COVID-19 Health Crisis, hand deliveries of applications will not be accepted until further notice.
You will receive an acknowledgement of the receipt of your application in approximately 30 days. The receipt will have a Control Number and the approximate time of your wait.
