Brookline Housing Authority



The Brookline Housing Authority [BHA] was founded in 1948 to provide housing for the veterans of World War II.  Since it's inception the BHA clientele has expanded to include the elderly, disabled, and others who cannot afford adequate housing in Brookline.  Today the BHA houses 4,134 residents in its 921 apartment units and manages 650 rental vouchers.  The Brookline Housing Authority does much more than provide housing today.
 
Additional services include:

 - Child care centers
- Summer employment programs
- Youth mentoring
- ESL classes
- Individual and family counseling

As well as numerous other social services that strive to improve the lives of BHA residents and the communities that that they reside in.
